Butt-Weld 90° Elbows (2WCL – Special) provide a smooth, permanent transition for right-angle changes in welded stainless steel process piping. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel and polished to a 32Ra sanitary finish on both the ID and OD, these elbows are produced to the same dimensional and material standards as traditional sanitary weld fittings. Because this Special-series product is not laser-marked with size or alloy identifiers, it is not classified as 3-A certified, though it delivers equivalent hygienic performance in appropriate applications. For systems requiring full 3-A certification, please see our 3-A Certified Butt-Weld 90° Elbow (2WCL).
These elbows are well-suited for general sanitary processing, OEM fabrication, and equipment builds where 3-A marking is not mandatory. The polished interior promotes efficient cleanability and a crevice-free flow path, supporting high-purity performance in food, beverage, brewery, cosmetic, nutraceutical, and light pharmaceutical environments.

Quality & Material Verification
All Special-series fittings undergo in-house Positive Material Identification (PMI) using the SciAps X-550 handheld XRF spectrometer to verify alloy chemistry and ensure full material traceability.
